Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Private Limited (HMSI) had organised a National Skill Contest-2014 for its dealership employees. A total of 11 winners were honoured at the national level, according to a company statement.
HMSI has been organising Skill Contest since the year 2003, with an objective to provide a platform to dealership employees to display their skills. It also helps develop their potential and motivates them. Employees from all Honda Exclusive authorised dealerships took part in the contest’s preliminary level. An estimated 100 employees from five regions were selected based on their theoretical and presentation skills. They further participated in the Regional level where they were judged on their merit scores.
YS Guleria, Vice President Sales & Marketing, HMSI said: “Honda plans to aggressively expand its dealership network and enhance sales and service standards pan India to deliver the highest level of customer satisfaction. The Honda Skill Contest helps enhance and develop employee’s potential. It is a powerful means to assess training needs for a strong team".
The Honda Skill Contest has five different categories. The year 2014 saw 45 employees from more than 740 Honda Exclusive Authorised Dealerships to compete in the final round. The winners of the contest feel honoured and motivated with the recognition and gratifications.
